I know I’ve set huge goals for myself in the past and when I didn’t achieve them, which was often, it would just make everything else worse. I think setting smaller goals, like what you’ve done with writing for 15 minutes, is achievable and keeps you motivated to move forward and keep writing.
Do what works for you. If journaling makes you feel like you haven’t accomplished anything then don’t do it.
You’re still writing for at least 15 minutes everyday, which is more than some.
